The most remarkable license plate I have seen in the Netherlands was from a truck with an Iranian one. Trucks with license plates from Turkey or Russia are not uncommon anymore. During the summer it is possible to spot (expensive) exotic cars from the Middle-East in cities like London, Paris or Düsseldorf. Every year there is a small invasion of rich Arabs and their cars here.

I've seen Polish license plates more than once before in Connecticut, US. Odd.

Apart from spotted several EU plates in here, I remember in around late 1980s to early 1990s, when I was on camping holiday in south of England and I saw a dark coloured navy/black "jeep/SUV" with American plate with "USA" oval sticker on the back of the "jeep/SUV". I was awed at that. Stared at the car while looked at the American family doing something inside their large camp tent. Then I walked away from that. That's all. This is the MOST weird one ever I see in my life for this topic. Long way from USA?!

How come there are no Japanese characters on that plate?
Is it even a regular plate? Maybe a diplomatic one?
