Again, are there any news on the proposed new terminal? Any construction going on?

it's good that the city government of Puerto Princesa renovated the current airport but looking at the crowded pasengers in the terminal maybe it's about time to extent it a little bigger.

Oh, you know how it is in the Philippines, infrastructure projects are always reactive to the current situation instead of proactive.

That newly renovated terminal building looks decent enough, they should of expanded it more as in those pics, the pre-boarding lounge or gate is definitely over crowded.

I agree, hope they decide to expand the airport soon and make it more decent, it really looks like your in a Barangay center, with the number of foreign and local tourist coming in, the province deserve a bigger, modern, greener airport.

I agree. The departure area looks skimpy.

I can't imagine the situation during holidays.

All airports in the Philippines (except for the four independent international airports) are under the jurisdiction of the CAAP, which is a national agency. Local governments have little, if any, say on airports. Look at what happened to Tacloban: though the city government commissioned a very beautiful, unique design, the DOTC still stuck to the design that makes it look like the twin sister of Bacolod.

PPC deserves to have a better airport similar to that of Iloilo, Bacolod or Davao.

Does anyone know if there is an airline serving the Puerto Princesa-Cebu route?

yes, nag kakasabay ang Cebu Pacific at ang A330/A320 ng PAL sa morning. it gets crowded during that time, but nun andun ako, which was sembreak, there are still vacant seats. ndi pa sya crowded, though its almost full.
and what i know is that yung scheduling ng planes where really made so that overcrowding would not happen. but yes, medyo ndi long term yung solution na yun.
