actually this parkson group ahh pilih bulu one depending location!if nice area wah store also nice!iwent to the one at south city plaza at seri kembangan "oh my goat" its as well be at chow kit ha ha oh may be they might open one at galaxy ampang i heard

hahah..the on at southcity plaza look horrible..that place empty during weekdays..
agree with Baq..i think the Parkson at Pavillion will be
U-Parkson..the 'upscale' version...

I hear that Parkson outlet at the Pavilion will be branded even higher than the U parkson at 1 Utama.

Parkson eyes management contracts

PARKSON Retail Group, the retail arm of the Lion Group, is looking for
contracts to manage department stores to grow its business.
"We are looking for more (management contracts) but we are strict on
our selection criteria which include location, accessibility, complex
management and retail mix," Parkson's chief operating officer Toh Peng
Koon said.
Parkson, a unit of Lion Diversified Holdings Bhd, has identified this
opportunity as one of its growth areas as it will not require the
retailer to pump in any investment into the outlet.
"In terms of store management, we do not own the store but provide
management service which includes day-to-day operations, merchandise
sourcing, merchandise management and financial management. In return, weare paid a management fee," Toh told Business Times in an interview.
When asked if Parkson is in discussion with anyone to manage its
outlets, Toh said that Parkson has been approached by several parties,
but there is nothing concrete.
"We will not take up the offer unless we have confidence in it," Toh
said.
Parkson's expansion is largely dependent on the opening of shopping
complexes and currently it runs 30 stores throughout Malaysia. It now
owns and operates all but one of the outlets - Parkson South City Plaza
in Sri Kembangan.
The outlet, which opened in April 2004, is owned by Kumpulan Emas Bhd
"The outlet is performing below our expectations as it has some
infrastructure problems. We hope that with the second access road and
widening of the interchange, traffic will improve," he said.
Parkson opened its 31st outlet in Alamanda, Putrajaya, on October 8
2005.
It will also be opening an outlet in Kota Baru, Kelantan, in 2006/2007.
Parkson will be the anchor tenant in the Pavilion Kuala Lumpur
scheduled to open in mid-2007, occupying 260,000 in total retail space.
The retailer will also have a presence in Sunway Carnival Shopping
Complex Penang, scheduled to open in early 2007.

We shud complain to the management and request them to remove Parkson...May be it works..I have complained to Starhill Gallery on the "Blush" store cos it just opposite the elegant Tiffin Bay, it looks terrible and not nice!! U know what happened to blush now? They relocate Blush to other place...bravo!!!

Gym. Usually I park my car inside the building. Either level 4 or 10. The view is superb enough
