Pavilion Residences on track
THE Pavilion Residences made its Kuala Lumpur debut in six-star style at the Pavilion Kuala Lumpur recently. About 100 guests, comprising owners, business partners, key corporate and society figures attended the topping-up ceremony organised by developer Urusharta Cemerlang Sdn Bhd. Its chairman Tan Sri Zainol Mahmood said the Pavilion Residences would be completed by early 2009. “The Pavilion Residences truly is the epitome of inner-city living with all modern urban conveniences in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. Today is a very exciting and significant day for us,’’ said Zainol. Comprising two towers with 368 contemporary-style units, Pavilion Residences will feature unblemished views of the Kuala Lumpur City Centre, the Petronas Twin Towers and the Klang Valley. The foreign buyers are from Australia, Canada, Japan, Mauritius, the Middle East, Singapore, Thailand and the United Kingdom. “We are proud that all our units are fully sold out. Despite the current global economic situation, the international communities seem aware of the future and vision of Malaysia and are confident in investing in our country. This is a significant boost to our country and we are very happy to be playing an instrumental role in this positive development,’’ said Zainol. |

Emirates Airline opens new KL office
Email us your feedback at fd@bizedge.com KUALA LUMPUR: Dubai-based Emirates Airline marked its 12th year anniversary in Malaysia with the official opening of its brand new 6,000-square feet office here yesterday. “We continue to pursue our growth strategy, both locally and globally. Malaysia remains a key market for Emirates and we will continue to provide our Malaysian customers with enhanced capacity, a new improved product and better connectivity to the world. ![]() (From left) Lee, UAE ambassador to Malaysia Nasser Salman Al Aboodi and Vaughan cutting the ribbon at its new office in The Pavilion in KL yesterday. “Our rapidly-expanding network will enable Malaysian businessmen to enter new markets and at the same time facilitate greater inbound tourist arrivals into the country,” said its senior vice-president of commercial operations, East Asia and Australasia, Richard Vaughan, in a statement yesterday. “We continue to work with the local government and travel trade sector to promote Malaysia across the globe. Emirates Holidays brochures prominently feature all that Malaysia has to offer. Over 500,000 copies of the brochure are distributed to potential travellers around the world every year,” he added. Emirates Malaysia manager Alban Lee said: “The new office signifies yet another step in our expansion programme in Malaysia. “Throughout the year, we have introduced several new initiatives for our local passengers such as introducing non-stop turnaround flights to Dubai from Oct 1 and launching three additional flights per week from Dec 1. Our expansion strategy in Malaysia has not dampened and we look forward to the New Year.” The new office is located at The Pavilion Kuala Lumpur. |
