back to the Metro Manila, ang pinaka-ayaw ko when it comes to underground parts like Ayala-EDSA, Shaw-EDSA underground, Quezon ave - EDSA underground... >> sobrang dilim kasi eh, masyadong nagtitipid sa koryente... >> sino ba ang nag-babayad ng koryente ng mga ilaw sa daan???
isa pa yung bandang C-5 going to SLEX!!! super dilim, and the flyover in tiendesitas going to eastwood and then to the flyover that goes underground after, sarado yung lights. kakainis kaya, pag-kadilim... |

for me, sa bawat city, lets say Makati >> there are parts that are clean and not, those dirty ones are hidden and hindi napapansin ng mga ibang tao kasi sa CBD sila parati... same with other cities, hindi lahat madumi...

i think i've read this article before but i'm reposting it anyway. notice though that at the end of the article, it says NLEE will be opened in mid-2007???
http://au.biz.yahoo.com//060514/17/pjqo.html Sunday May 14, 5:29 PM AUST-FILIPINO CONSORTIUM WANTS TO BUILD TOLL ROAD IN PHILIPPINES MANILA, Feb 24 Asia Pulse - An Australian-Filipino consortium has offered to build what would be the Philippines' first "green corridor" expressway project for Manila that aims to be self-sufficient in water and power. Called the "water-sensitive urban tollway methodology", it would be applied on the proposed construction of the 7.8 billion pesos (US$149.3 million), 27 kilometre Northeast Luzon East Expressway (NLEE), Ausphil Tollways Corp president Ricardo Penson said. Ausphil, owned by Australian and Filipino companies, is the leading proponent of the project, which is being reviewed by the Philippine National Economic Development Authority. Using new technology, rainwater would be collected in patented structures within the tollway. It would provide an estimated 15 million cubic metres of raw water for distribution. Turbine generators would also be installed in the tollway's underground aqueducts to generate 35 megawatts of electricity for self-sufficiency. Any excess power may be sold. "This will be the only energy self-sufficient toll road in the world as it generates energy through four hydroelectric plants to be built along the stretch," Mr Penson said. Mr Penson said the technology is compliant with the Convention on Wetlands signed in Ramsar, Iran in 1971. The treaty, which the Philippines ratified in 1978, provides the framework for international cooperation for the conservation and wise use of wetlands and their resources. Penson said the project, backed by the Philippine Department of Public Works and Highways and the Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System, covers the rehabilitation of Metro Manila's nature park and a watershed. "This green corridor aims to create savings in travel time and fuel now being wasted on traffic congestion," he said. The NLEE is projected to initially carry 69,000 vehicles per day when it opens in mid-2007. ASIA PULSE
