Parvathy Baul is a singer, painter and storyteller from West Bengal. In this clip excerpt, Parvathy sings Rajjab Fakir's Aae kheye-ne behester shei - the mad bard's invitation to drink the wine of Hu (chant/breath) till the senses intoxicate themselves with the zikr (recitation of the divine name). The song invites seekers to meditate till the the self comes to experience the Truth through the medium of pure love and devotion.

This song was shot in Trivandrum, Kerala, which is her current home.

Nishagandhi Festival 2012 began at Thiruvananthapuram with a colourful, vibrant portrayal of India’s cultural diversity. Two-hundred dancers made this possible through ‘Sangamam,’ a specially choreographed show at the Kanakakunnu grounds in the city on Friday.

Abhilash, I would say the above news would be more fitting to the education and research thread. Please post such news items there. I had recently moved your Med Ex posts also there.

I had started this thread to showcase the vibrancy of the urban life in Trivandrum. So it is more for pics and videos of that kind. I had mentioned this in the beginning pages of this thread.
