SPIC MACAY chapter in Thiruvananthapuram

The Society for the Promotion of Indian Classical Music and Culture Amongst Youth (SPIC MACAY) has a name that speaks for itself. A non-profit movement that began in the seventies, it is run by its volunteer body that comprises artistes, patrons and students and has several chapters in educational institutions both in India and abroad. Apart from places like Patna, Dehradun, Pune and Mangalore, institutions such as the IIT campuses at Delhi, Chennai and Rourkee also have its presence. John Hopkins University, Stanford University and University of Virginia are a few universities in the USA with SPIC MACAY chapters.
