6/10 Someone once said it looks like food boxes stacked and they were right. One look and it reminded me of tupperware food containers. It's sad to see a building so tall and majestic not actually look so good. Better than a box design but not by much.

Love the height, the hype, the effort that went into constructing it... although it's remarkably fugly.
7/10

^At least you can stand on them.

Eitherway, I think T101 is at least 448m (roof), which is enough to finally beat out Sears.

In the Top Ten of Everything 2005(the Book) it says that Taipie 101 is not, I REPEAT is NOT THE WORLDS TALLEST BUILDING. Its says Patronas towers are. The roof height on the Patronas towers is 452.0 meters, Taipie 101 is 448.1 meters. So thats right if you did it by roof height and not spires Patronas wins. If it was done by spires Sears Tower would be the tallest.

Looks like something I can eat at the Chinese food store a block away...

Still, it's very tall.
Gotta give it a 9!

BTW does anyone have pics of spiderman on this tower?

No its 452 meters to roof in the book and every where I have checked its classed as 452 to roof. Taipei 101 is classed 448.1 to roof and 508.1 to Spire.

I'm afraid you're mistaken. The Petronas Towers are 452 m to the tip of the spires, and 378.6 m to the roof. There is no clearly defined flat roof on the towers, so the "roof" is taken to the top of one of the upper setbacks, where the windows stop. Above these are a series of smaller setbacks containing window washing equipment and the base of the spires.

These figures are confirmed by the Council of Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat.

No. It is 452m to spire.

Roof is 378.6m. Then cone and spire.
Top floor is 375m to 438m on TAIPEI 101.

so we have
category - Petronas Towers / TAIPEI 101
spire - 452m / 508m
roof - 379m / 448m
top floor - 375m / 438m
