Its been over a month now. This excercise is stretching longer than the Lok Sabha election.
C'mon lets get it done with quickly.

Doesn't the poll say it will close May 11th?
Unless you guys want me to close the poll earlier and let Jan know that a decision has been made by the Indian forumers. |

Close it and tell Jan. Not many people have voted and the most likely wont. So the winner is I B. |

does the 'History & Heritage' link take you to the 'History & Heritage Architecture Discussion' sub-forum, or does it take you directly to the 'Heritage Buildings & Munuments' section directly, as it seems to be the only category under the sub-forum ?

^ Directly to the section itself. This is how the subforums should be linked up -
India- Namaste! » Bengaluru | Chennai | Cochin | Delhi | Hyderabad | Kolkata | Mumbai | Trivandrum » Regional Projects | Cityscapes | Infrastructure | Economy | History & Heritage | Chaibar any minor tweaks..anyone? And while we're at it, can Jan also change the spelling of Maharasthra (in the Central/West description) to its correct spelling - Maharashtra? |

Just before everything gets finalised, Id like to put forward the idea of having Ahmedabad as a Metro City.
I was in the process of putting a thread together for the Ahmedabad MRTS project when I realised that the city has: MRTS (approved) BRTS (nearly complete) Riverfront Redevelopment (first of its kind in India, ongoing) Expansion of current airport (ongoing) Greenfield airport at Fedara (approved) Various plans linked to the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor And not forgetting the most impressive Megaproject in all of India.... GIFT As well as having possibly the most pro-investment, pro-business leadership in the country. In the past, my view on the subject was that Ahmedabad didnt have enough forum representation to deserve being classed as a Metro-City, however, now, with the Metro-Cities being put on the front page, what better opportunity to attract more interest in the City, which on merit, probably does deserve to be up there. Just thought Id put the idea forward. |

That was one of the reasons I was in favour of just having Metropolitan Projects in the front page. That would mean, if we added more cities like Ahmedabad under Metropolitcan Projects, then the SSC front page would not be affected.
I think apart from Ahmedabad other cities like Pune, Nagpur, Coimbatore, Vizag under the metropolitan projects list. Also maybe we should get rid of the South section and just have direct sections for AP,TN, Karnataka and Kerala. |
