Looks very European, something between Manchester UK and Munich. Seems quite dense too...

Fantastic pics, I live in Boston and these really capture the essence of the city, the density, the jumbled geography, old and new buildings together, offices and residences together.

Best photos from Boston I've ever seen.

Some of the densest places in the U.S. in Boston.

some pictures of Cambridge are mixed up but still an excellent thread. Boston is very very old and is one of the least American looking cities in the country.

Boston has such a spectacular urban fabric, and you've captured it very well.

Great work!

In my opinion Boston and Philadelphia are 2 most unique major cities in the US. Nice thread.

"In my opinion Boston and Philadelphia are 2 most unique major cities in the US. Nice thread."

I agree, these cities have retained their Colonial, Georgian, Federal, Greek Revival and Victorian heritage. One thing I always admired about Boston though was its winding streets. Philadelphia is a grid. Both have a outstanding architecture and are extremely walkable. They are the two favorite cities that I've lived in. Great atmosphere in both cities especially during a foggy night.
