To complete the whole project, a third phase will be launched to rebuild the old station. This will cost 97 million euro. There are two concepts, which have been presented for public consultation. It will be constructed by 2019.

The old facade will be at least partially reconstructed. On top of the building new office buildings and a hotel will be build. Also a connection above the railways will be constructed to the Glogowska street next to the station, where the Poznan International Fair, Poland's largest and oldest, is situated. At the meantime 3 platforms that weren't renovated yet, will get a facelift.

The projects, with every time the two variants:

Could some kind Polish person help me with this.

Is there a good street map of Poznań, which shows ALL the tram-lines and stops?

I have ExpressMap maps of Warszawa, Łódź, Wrocław, and Gdańsk, which do seem to have such details for those cities.

So I bought the ExpressMap map of Poznań, expecting the same.

However the Poznań map doesn't show all the tramlines. For instance, to the north of the city centre, it does not show the lines to Piątkowska (routes 9 and 11) or to Połabska (routes 4 and 10). According to the map, the only tramline to the north of the city is the Fast Tram Line to Os.Sobieskiego. However it does show the ordinary lines to the east, west, and south of the city.

There may have been some error in the editing of this map - or have I just got an imperfect copy?

I think you should see here on official Poznan transport website - where are dashed lines, these are tram tracks:

Thank you dimlys1994 and JanVL. Actually, I had already downloaded an earlier version of this map, so thanks for alerting me to the fact that it's being constantly updated.

However, it doesn't really solve my problem. The ExpressMap I have has a detailed map of the city, with streets, parks, important buildings etc.etc., but unfortunately misses out some tramlines. On the other hand, the ztm.poznan pdf map shows all the tramlines, but has little detail of other features.

The reason I find this unsatisfactory is as follows.

I am of an age where it is unlikely I will get round to visiting all the various cities and tram systems which interest me. However there are many interesting videos on YouTube of trams - especially of the "driver's cab view" - which are the nearest I will get to visiting these cities. Many Polish cities are included.

Besides the tram interest, these videos give a good impression of the cities themselves. Sometimes there are pleasant surprises, e.g. Łódź is a more attractive city than I expected.

Quite often in these videos, I see an impressive looking building, such as a church, and I want to find out more about it. Using the ExpressMap maps of Warszawa, Łódź etc. I can quite easily find out the identity of a building, park, rail station etc. It's only the fact that the Poznań ExpressMap doesn't show all the tramlines that makes it inadequate.

However it may be the best available. If you do hear of any others, I would be grateful if you could inform me.

I have looked once more if I could find an other map, but unfortunately there isn't a more detailed one available online immediately.

However, if there is something of interest to you in a video about Poznan, feel free to leave a message here or in PM and you'll certainly be helped in finding out what building or monument you're seeing .

From Metro Report

http://www.metro-report.com/news/new...s-service.html

Poznań’s first low-floor bidirectional tram enters service
13 Jan 2017

POLAND: The first of 10 bidirectional Moderus Beta trams has entered service on Route 1 of the Poznań network.

This is the first bidirectional tram in MPK Poznań’s fleet that is not completely high-floor. Until now the only bidirectional trams in service were fully high-floor GT8 vehicles, which are only used when turning loops are closed because of engineering work. The Moderus Beta trams will be used in regular service
