No, AA is not flying to AMS. AA goes to LHR and via codesharing with BA to AMS.

It's a BAe Avro 146-RJ85, operated by CityJet.

This plane was only repainted into CityJet's new Air France livery last month.

The same plane exactly 1 month ago:

I have a question for people who are familiar with KLM & AMS. I am flying this Thursday with KLM from Los Angeles to Moscow with a connection in Amsterdam. Never flew KLM or been at AMS. I have a few questions.

1. Which terminal is used for Los Angeles flight (747) and which for Moscow flight (737)? Ticket states that Terminal info at AMS is not available. Wiki says that C,D,E could be used.

2. Do KLM 747-400M (passenger, freigh, combi) have seat tv in economy?

3. How are they in general (KLM)?

1. The flights to and from LA are usually handled at the F pier. If you connecting flight is KL903 it will depart from the D-pier. It's a fantastic transfer airport. It's not a long walk and you won't have problems finding the right gate for the Moscow flight at all.

2. Yes, all KLM 747s have a personal entertainment system. It's actually quite new, they only finished the installation of the seat TVs in all 747s last year.

3. It's not one of the fancy airlines, but expect good service. They are quite punctual, that's not a big problem.

Thank you.

1. Yes, KL903.

2. Great. Wont be bored on 10 hour transatlantic flight.

3. Hate fancy. Like good and conservative but not crappy.

KL-602 is changed to PH-BFU. KL-903 will be the PH-BXP. No parkingpositions yet.

Since yesterday it's possible to take an official bus tour around the airport grounds.

Schiphol Behind the Scenes tour

"The Schiphol Behind the Scenes tour leta you see just how much happens outside and around this airport. This multimedia tour gives you a look at the airport from behind the scenes to you a beter understanding of how it all happens. The tour will take you to places you normally would not be able to go, such as the fire station, the snow fleet, the airplane hangers and much more! You come into contact with things you normally wouldn’t. Come and experience this for yourself, see Schiphol from close by."
http://www.schipholbehindthescenes.nl/en/

The tickets are €15,00, and can be bought online or at the desk in Schiphol Plaza.

If I would have known yesterday I would have taken it.

Any pics of Korean Air at Schipol? And also do they go stright from Schipol to Seoul now or do they still make a stop at Madrid afterwards and then fly back to Seoul?

They will split the service from 03 May 2012.

Btw, the current flight first goes to Madrid and then to Amsterdam before going back. It will be an improvement if you fly from Seoul to Amsterdam. Plus they will be using a bigger plane, a A330-300 instead of a 777-200ER. Initially the frequency would also have gone up from 3x to 4x a week, but that increase has been cancelled before the start.

I could only find this picture that I took in 2009 of a Korean Air 777-200ER landing on a Dutch highway.

No there's no code share, it's not really needed since KLM has it's own daily flight to Seoul.

Aircraft operated on LAX=AMS was named after a frame named after Beijing. AMS-SVO was operated by B739ER. Flights were great!

Thank you
