ELGIN SCOTLAND

My Home town Elgin is a small market town in Morayshire.
The drumochter pass just of the main A9 road heading North for Elgin
Academy Street
We only really wear kilts at Weddings
The High Street
Commerce Street
The Mansion house hotel
Lady Hill
Glen Moray distillery not the prettiest. One of over 60 in the Elgin area.Glenlivet,Mccallan,Glenfiddich are all near by
Elgin Cathedral consecrated in 1224 in 1390 it was burnt down byAlexander stewart AKA The Wolf of badenoch. He did so because the Bishop of Moray excommunicated him for having an affair.
Elgin Museum
Some more traditional Scottish architecture
Walkers delicious Highland short bread is made in Elgin and sold all over the world
St Giles Church
Great place to buy a nice malt whiskey
The Cathedral again
Doctor greys Hospital
5 Miles North of Elgin is the little fishing town of lossiemouth. Not a very well know town but that may change as Virgin Galactic spaceport might be based in the nearby Royal Air Force base.

A local petrol station has an old decommissioned buccaneer jet in the forecourt bought from the nearby RAF Lossiemouth
Injured seal pup on lossie beach
More photos of lovely lossie beach
The third house along is the birth place of Lossies most famous son James Ramsey Mcdonald the UK first Labour Prime Minister
Not many fishing boats left in lossie due to over fishing in the north sea
Lossie Golf Course a typical Scottish links course
Thanks for taking the time to look

I love it! Thank you very much for posting these.

How old are these type of houses, approximately, at least? I'm not familiar with Scottish architectural history.
