Apparently there is a passage way between Hamilton's and the Greek club connecting the old golf course with the new part

Looks great Mo Rush.

What will public transport be like for people travelling to the stadium for the WC (and after)? Is there a rail connection? Walking distance?

A complete and integrated transport plan has been developed and forms part of the Host City Transport Operations plan handed to FIFA last year.

Two IRT stations connects the city , fan park and central train station to the stadium.
A fan mile from the city follows its own dedicated pedestranized route from the city/station/fan park.

Spectators using the fan mile will move under the new elevated circle.

Thanks for the reply Mo Rush. I really like the idea of the 'fan mile' - I hope the route remains something special after the Games.

This image got me thinking:

The port area to the north of the cbd would be a great place for development (after industry moves from there, of course).

And on another note, I think I read about that 'Woodstock' area when I was looking through some travel guides to Cape Town. It's one of the city's trendiest areas, isn't it?

Its becoming trendy but still in the early stages of development.

There are definitely plans for the Port area with proposals to demolish the highways blocking the harbour from the cbd.

Now thats a cool project to gain green surface in a city! Many cities are suffering from having not enough green spots. Very nice!
