This last weekend I had the wonderful chance of visiting Toulouse, and get to capture such a wonderful plane.

This picture has its history, because we take a wrong way for getting to the LFBO hill and almost lost the moment. There was a large crowd watching the take off. Running downhill we get to take position in time, so my sweetheart Encarni and me reached a good spotting point just in time. Hope you like the picture.

So China Southern Airlines' A380's first class section is similar to Singapore Airlines' A380's Suites class. Cool!

No. There is the massive separation between the middle beds, like in Emirates suites.

The business class is like Emirates, too.

Behind the scenes of The Emirates A380 Commercial

NOTE THE MESSAGE:
"Emirates - A friend of Europe." It seems that Emirates wants to underline that they create thousands of jobs in the aviation industry in Europe. This might be an answer to the widespread criticism expressed by European carriers who fear the growing market power of Emirates.

China Southern A380 :

The economy class looks already old fashioned to me, the colour amplifies the density feeling.

My pleasure. There has been a flood of photos this week from the China Southern A380 delivery flight, arriving in Beijing and then Guangzhou.

Initially domestic routes between Beijing and Shanghai / Guangzhou. Reportedly later will go international between Beijing and New York / Paris.

First Flight msn78 F-WWSU 20/10/2011 by A380_TLS, on Flickr

Malaysia Airlines First A380 takes off from Toulouse for its maiden flight

The first A380 for Malaysia Airlines (MAS) took off for its maiden flight on 20th October after completion of the final assembly and system tests in Toulouse, France.

After a successful flight of five hours, the aircraft returned to Toulouse to be prepared for its next journey to the Airbus facilities in Hamburg, Germany for cabin installation and painting.

Powered by four Rolls-Royce Trent 900 engines, the aircraft is the first of six A380s ordered by Malaysia Airlines, scheduled for delivery in the second quarter of 2012. Malaysia Airlines will be the 8th airline to operate the A380.

GE90 engines of the B777 are actually bigger (have a larger fan diameter) than the Trents (A350's TXWB or A380's T900), with the Trents being of very similar size (1 inch fan diameter difference or so)...

Here's a GE90-115 on a B747 test-bed... :P
