Earlier this month, the first A380 for a private owner (MSN002) was seen outside the hangars.

Kingdom Holdings - F-WXXL - c/n 0002

MSN002 has spent the last few years in the hangars being refurbished. Delivery to the customer is expected in Q2 2012.

It's already flying but delivery is in Q3 2012? It takes 6-9 months to paint and refurbish the plane?

What is up with the refurbishing department?

If we're talking about the Kingdom Holding plane I can tell you that most certainly the interior will be custom not like the other a380's constructed until now.

And about the Singapore plane I was puzzled too when I so the delivery schedule practically until the we'll have about 15-18 planes in front that will be delivered

The Melbourne flight is rumored to go to AKL (Auckland, NZ) airport the same time the Auckland to Dubai via Sydney A380 is at the airport.

Emirates’ twenty-eighth A380 (MSN109) has been confirmed as the new frame being carried on Convoy #25/2011.

Only the wings and tailplane are being carried in the convoy, with the remaining components scheduled to arrive in early January.

Once delivered, she will carry registration A6-EEB.

Sorry if my question has been answered previously in the thread: Do you think any US airline is willing to buy the A380??

Airbus has said that United might want to buy the A380, because it's needed to compete on the US - Asia routes (as in the A380 effect). But it remains to be seen if they are actually going to. It's always said that the reasons why the US airlines don't buy the A380 are that the American travelers prefer high frequencies with smaller planes over less flights with a big plane. And also that they currently don't have the money to buy them.

Airbus announced thirty-one A380 convoys for the coming year.

The dates highlighted in blue are subject to change. If thirty-one convoys do take place in 2012, it will be the most successful year yet.
