I've seen images of the standard scheme which is applied to the B738s and A330s... I agree the exclusive A380 scheme is far better BUT it lacks one thing... The wow factor...

Looking good for BA's first A380! Possibly that plane will carry the flagship flight numbers BA 001/002 in the near future... Or will it remain with the LCY-JFK flight?

Once they have done their initial crew training rotations (MAD?) then, for sure, JFK will be one of their first destinations. Especially as they will be able to do a daily return flight with their first frame. As for the BA1/2 flight numbers, you may well be right. What better way to advertise the fact that you have an A380 on the route.

But QF will be switching its Kangaroo Route soon to become the Falcon Route (SYD-DXB-LHR), so will that route get QF 001/002 and have another flight number for SYD-SIN instead?

The new QF Falcon route flights from SYD & MEL have been advertised for sale however no flight numbers allocated... Those flights may or may not carry the original flight numbers...
