So TK would be the new customer Airbus was talking about in December?

Airbus in Talks With Turkish Air for 150 Jets, Minister Says

Turkish Airlines (THYAO) is considering the purchase of about 150 Airbus SAS aircraft, in an order that would include some A380 superjumbos, as the carrier pursues an expansion by connecting traffic between Europe and Asia.

The talks between the carrier, officially known as Turk Hava Yollari AO, and Toulouse, France-based Airbus were disclosed by French Trade Minister Nicole Bricq today in a statement ahead of her planned visit Istanbul next week, where she will meet Turkey’s economics minister and executives, including the head of Turkish Airlines. The airline confirmed the planned meeting.

With 150 jets, it could be likely that it will get A380s. Here's an issue though: TK also operates quite a lot of B77Ws, A330s, and A340s for its long-haul services. Will it be sustainable for a long time for TK to order VLAs over a period of time, given that it already has a sizable long-haul fleet? I mean, I haven't seen TK operate a B747...

TK is growing really fast, I can see them filling the a380 easily on some routes such as New-York, Beijing, or Bangkok.

Awesome! It looks like TK is fast expanding its network, with the latest being to Sri Lanka. Hopefully, TK will finally fly to the Philippines (either direct or nonstop) from Istanbul since there are many Filipinos in Europe, and they rely either with KLM or Emirates... and I hope that flight will be with a B77W, if not with an A343.

I was wondering, if the kite logo on the fin is painted in the same color as the previous logo, it would look perfect.

I find the all-blue kite logo for MH much more appropriate for the A380 because it shows its tranquility in flight as it does long-haul trips from Kuala Lumpur to London daily, and I find that to be a more mature livery than its already-lively blue and red motif deployed on the rest of its fleet.

Malaysia Airlines probably wants blue because it can reflect premium, professional, clean, confidence, high class, water, sky?

Well I know that. The all-dark blue color looks great....for the airlines of Northern Europe or America, but not really suited for the airlines of South East Asia.

I'd prefer the red and blue motif because it represents the image of vibrant, warmth, and friendliness. The type of images that Malaysia Airlines wished to convey to the audience.

That looks really nice! Is that at Heathrow or KUL? It looks so gloomy on the background, it made me think of Heathrow...
