Could also be Lufthansa as well (LH 573) doing JNB—FRA? I know it also does an A380 on that flight too...

I see. So the other question is, where would LH's A380 be that also comes from JNB, or on that day, another aircraft type was used?

MSN137 (QR #1) is the first A380 with the new wings straight out of the factory, MSN141 is the first one for EK.

Airbus confirms BA A380 to display at Paris air show

Airbus has confirmed that British Airways' first A380 will be displayed during the Paris air show which begins on 17 June.

Flightglobal reported in March that the airframer was in discussions with the carrier to bring the aircraft to the show, having previously done the same with a Korean Air and Malaysia Airlines A380.

BA is due to take delivery of its first A380, configured with 469 seats, in July. The aircraft is powered by Rolls-Royce Trent 900 engines.

Airbus says that the aircraft "will take centre stage during the first few days of the show", to be follow by one of the airframer's flight-test aircraft.

It is using the type to promote a new advertising campaign under the banner "Own the Sky".

Airbus's air transport presence at the Paris show will be underpinned by an A320 fitted with sharklet wing-tips, an A330 and a corporate ACJ318.

While the manufacturer will be showing a full-sized A350 cockpit and cabin section, Airbus has not indicated whether the initial test aircraft is likely to carry out its first flight before the show.

That should be their 33rd air frame, but by the end of March 2014 they should have 47 SJs.

That's insane! I remember when EK ordered the big bird only to increase the amount to 90 everyone was questioning where they plan on flying them! 47 frames by 2014 is a massive accomplishment by EK & Airbus too!

Most thought 47 was a crazy high number and no way they'd ever fly that many. They almost fainted when it was upped to 90.
