Maybe charters for the world cup by BA, AF, LH & EK. Lets hope they see schedule service. Maybe when the new terminal in Sao Paulo we will see A380s in Brazil.

Lufthansa and Emirates have made public statements about looking into operating the A380 into São Paulo, the lack of space of the airport was given as the reason why it hasn't materialized. With the new terminal it will become possible, but no A380 flights have been confirmed yet.

ps.
Air India will not be ordering the A380 anytime soon. They already have problems financing the 787-8s, they simply cannot afford the A380 right now.

There have actually been some rumors that Jet will operate the A380 pretty soon. But those rumors don't talk about an order, as they will lease them from their almost new owner Etihad.

I hope not. Are they trying to win the ugliest A380 design contest. Hope they get a special livery for the A380 if they were to buy.

Etihad only has ten on order and another five as options. They will need all the A380s they can get to stay with Qatar and Emirates in the A380 Middle East war. Or they might pull an Emirates move and order 90 or so planes. I though India banned the A380 from flying in or out of their airports.

Yup! India doesn't allow A380s to operate in and out of its airports.

Also, as Momo said, Air India is financially in trouble thus there is no way they will order A380 in near future. Jet airways also running at huge loss. I don't think they will even think to lease A380s as they have leased their 777-300ERs to other airlines which Jet owns. That indicates that they don't need huge aircrafts like A380s.

Etihad has big plans with Jet, including making Abu Dhabi a Jet hub channeling a big part of Jet's international traffic through the UAE. Placing some of the A380s at Jet might break the current ban, that is only in place to protect the Indian airlines against outside competition. If an Indian airline operates the A380 it will be a different story. If Kingfisher would not have fallen they would also be taking delivery of the A380, there's no way that they would not have gotten the permission to use them.

Etihad also has a completely different business model then Emirates, it's not like they base their whole operations on 1 type of plane. By creating partnerships with many airlines that also use the metal of the other airlines as a feed into their hub, creating a very dense network without the huge investments in large numbers of new huge planes. Which is reflected in their order book, the 787-9 accounts for almost half of their outstanding orders. They really only need the A380s for their busiest routes, after the tie-up with Jet that could easily be some of the routes to India.

Indeed, only foreign carriers are not allowed to fly the A380 into India.

Instead of making their product better, they resort to totalitarian measures.
