The A380 is a nice looking plane!! Even after multiple flights to BKK from the USA. I flew to BKK from the USA last week, and I still haven't been able to fly on an A380 yet. Maybe, I will on my next trip to Thailand.

The smallest are currently:

smallest: Auckland

runners up (in no particular order): Johannesburg, Jeddah, Manchester

From December there will be a new very clear smallest airport, and that will be Mauritius.

From the windows arrangement ... It seems that QR will configure their A380s in :

-First Class in the front of the upper deck "probably 8 seats just like LH"
-Business Class behind first class "also like LH"
-Economy Class will be located at whole of the main deck only

So all in all ... It seems as if QR will arrange their A380's interior much like LH
..... Am I right ?! =P

Almost correct

> 8 First class seats located at the front of the lower deck
> 52 Business class seats on the upper deck
> 457 Economy class seats on the lower and upper decks

Total: 517 seats.

But XWB ... If you notice the windows arrangement you'll find it so identical to the LH's frames ! The windows on the front of the lower deck doesn't look like it will consist 8 first class seats , unlike the front of the upper deck which is totally obviuse that it's prepared to carry 8 first class seats

Would everyone agree that the Airbus A380 has supplanted the Boeing 747 as the new Queen of the Skies?

Do you think we'll have A380s from Argentina landing in Miami soon? Lufthansa lands one here in the winter.

Does any body remember a couple of A380 orders which was suppose to go to the Argentinian flag carrier, I don't remember very well but it was something like the owners or a lease company? I think they also ordered 330s, and 350s with the same order.

Did that ever materialize.

Mauritius might be small islands nation. But its airport is anything but small. I'd say it's about the same size as Auckland.

No. Not for the A380s. Probably would have the better chance for the A330s and the A350. They are getting some A330s soon. The A350s would be for replacing the A340s and the 747s. The Argentinian flag carrier has been in financial mess for the last couple of years and now they are starting to turn it around and make some money. They would not want to risk the profits they need badly on the A380s.

In passenger numbers it will be the smallest by a big margin. But indeed, the airport in physical size is pretty big especially if you take the passenger statistics into account.

Yes, there was an order for Air Comet of 4 x A380's, 10 x A350's & 17 x A330's

http://airlineworld.wordpress.com/20...et-shuts-down/

Air Comet’s parent company, Grupo Marsans had ordered a number of new planes, including four Airbus A380 superjumbos that were to have 620 seats and were to be operated on the most popular routes to South-America. Besides the big A380′s, Grupo Marsans also ordered 10 A350′s and 17 new Airbus A330′s, the first of which was already delivered in August, 2008. It now looks like, the A380′s will never be operated under the Air Comet brand and livery…
