I know computer imagery is great these days but your trying to tell me this gets off the ground ? I have seen it with my own eyes...but still wonder if it is real...

See EK is to send A380 to JNB again from middle-December to end of January.
Unfortunately reverts back to 77W before BA starts with their A380s to JNB, otherwise could have made 4 A380s at JNB at once.
But I guess it shouldn't be too long before EK puts the A380 back on to JNB permanently?

Actually do we know why they decided to downgrade the route?

And I have the same question for Tokyo.... They went back from the A380 to the 77W but chose to add another route on Haneda airport. Don't really understand.....

Wing modifications pop to my mind plus scheduled maintenance.

I think that they reduced capacity on Tokyo - Narita because they predicted that a part of this trafic would move to Haneda with the opening of that route.

We might see that Narita stays 777 and that Haneda becomes A380 when that becomes possible in the future.

I doubt they would be able to fit a restaurant on the A380 with such little room on the cargo floor and no windows.
