Interior of Airbus A380 Superjumbo Airliner ...

The twin-deck widebody of the roomy A380 means some airlines have requested onboard showers, an office, a children's play area, a gym, a bar, shops, a smoking area and a mini casino.

It will be interesting if this one materializes.

Turkish Airlines is about to wet lease 4 Airbus A380 from un-named airline.

THY is about to wet lease 4 A380

Turkish Airlines is about to sign an agreement to wet lease with an un-named airline for 4 A380. According to sources, the 4 aircraft planned to enter to the fleet by summer.

THY plans to fly with some China destinations which are not easy to increase slots.

Maybe more importantly then Turkish wet leasing A380s is the question which airline can miss 4 big birds this summer.

China Southern can give a couple. They only need to use two for the CAN-LAX route and the rest are used for domestic routes and the CAN-SYD route is coming to end during the winter months for Australia.

According to the source they are talking with 1 airline and 5 minus 4 is 1, if China Southern still needs 2 for their own operations it simply doesn't add up.

Unless Turkish Airlines will wet-lease a lower number, everything is still possible with this rumor.

So from the Pic of the aircraft, its clear its an operator who used RR engines, So that narrow down to CZ, MH, QF, SG and TH (ignoring LH and BA)

check TK livery, none have maker mentioned on the engine, so maybe they haven't painted it and then put RR there (all TK engines are white with no markings), meaning for saving money they haven't painted the engine.

Only CZ has such engines! So i guess we a Winner!!

ps : CZ website still shows A380 flying to LAX in july/august, but i guess that can change

The A380 is a beautiful aircraft. I would love to see an airline send one to our "little" Austin(AUS) airport.

Seen a few people saying the Singapore -Sydney flight doesn't have enough people on it to to justify a A380, is this true??

With the absents of QF double daily A380 services there is room for BA to step in & fill the void. I've heard the B77W is doing really well on the route I think BA could make it work. Only downside for BA is it'll occupy 3 frames, unless BA operate 3 to 4 days a week.

1) As told by others, it's a shop.

2) Wet leased aircraft are generally not painted in company colors.
