Good question. I was wondering if they will offer them to BA at a price they cannot refuse.

Will Etihad do a bacon sandwich for that price? I didn't think so.

tullamarine I don't think Etihad (or Emirates for that matter) will do a bacon sandwich at any price!!! Qantas customers on Sydney/Melbourne-London lost bacon from the breakfast menu following the Emirates alliance.

BaconButty I finally understand the true horrors of globalization.

I believe ex-Airbus A380 F-WWJB test frame was converted from RR to EA.

An interesting article from today's Internet edition of the NYT:
"Oversize Expectations for the Airbus A380"
http://www.nytimes.com/2014/08/10/bu...ttom-well&_r=0

There will never be an United or Delta A380.

Boeing had the better foresight on where the market is going .... the 787 / 777x was the way to go vs A380.

Yes boeing invested in the 747-8i but they didnt spend 25 billion on the plane like airbus did with the a380

i fly a lot long haul and the 380 is the best plane in the sky……thought the 787 was OK but a 13 hour night flight LHR to SIN i would (and do) pay for the 380 privilege

Wow, for AF, that's one of the only two planes sporting the 80-year livery. The other one being an A319. Thanks for sharing.
