They likely won't take a single one.

These 2 are going to Emirates, they ordered them earlier this year.

That means that there are no A380s without customers other then the 3 unsold prototypes. If the Iran order actually goes ahead (which is unlikely) it will be newly builds. Which does make sense as the major issue with the A380 for Airbus is filling up future production slots. Or they will take some 2nd hand frames, but then there won't be an order with Airbus.

That's probably correct, but sometimes Airbus or Boeing buy used frames as part of a deal to sell new frames. Then they sell the used frames. On even rarer occasions, they have bought and sold each other's used frames. Anyway, I don't think Iran Air will be in the market for 2nd hand airliners.

Malaysia Airlines has not been able to find another airline wanting to take their A380s, now they are talking about keeping them.

http://www.routesonline.com/news/29/...ase-operation/

They are looking at new business using them for wet-lease operations, and also for Hajj and Umrah flights.

“The Hajj and Umrah is now a 9-10 month business and the Boeing 747-400s are getting towards end of cycle. The A380, perhaps in a higher density arrangement to how we fly it, will be an ideal aircraft to support this market. I see a future for the aircraft doing this. I think it could ultimately absorb 6 to 12 aircraft,”

Why 841?
to do with engines on the aircraft

From http://rosboch.net/aviation.htm#Codes

-841 = Trent 970-84 or 970B-84.
-842 = Trent 972-84 or 972B-84
-861 = GP 7270

Airbus nomenclature:

1st digit : version

2nd digit : engine manufacturer :
0 = General Electric
1 = CFM International
2 = Pratt and Whitney
3 = IAE (International Aero Engines)
4 = Rolls Royce
6 = Alliance

3rd digit : engine type (depends on the aircraft model)

Wrong thread, angrybird2411.

Random pictures go here: http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?t=1888822

Please don't waste our time with pictures like this. This thread is for news and developments on the A380.

Except that this picture was already posted on September 12th, 2010 in this same thread by somebody else. Back then also without a source, which is still a big no no, even in the picture thread.

Judging from this users other posts it also seems like it's a robot/zombie poster, I'm certainly not following. I don't think that this user is going to respond to anything said directly to him/her/most likely it.

Interesting spot Momo!, I had not spotted that the poster was one of the dismal SpamBots around here like Alex67 or OasisBankok or Patricio_JF or RUNBKK or that WWC and if it is then it is a rather well programmed bot.

And the CEO Bellew speculates that up to 20 USED a380s could end up with this configuration over time. They can also do football fan charters in Europe outside Hajj time.

Bit more on that possible Hawaiian Order for one or two A380s.
