They did, but delays caused them to shelve the orders and instead, order Boeing's new 777-300F's. They canceled the orders they had, even though they were the main "brain" behind the development of the A380F.

Those are nice! Thanks for the post Andre! But I'm hoping some US Airlines will order soon especially NWA. I got my Frequent Flyer Miles on that company. I would love to ride one in the next 5 years. But probably, I may experience one next year if my business tour will be approve in Singapore.

can the economy class people go to the the bars, duty free shops and restaurants? and if not, then it's not worth it for me. i'll just go to a restaurant when i get back on land than pay for an expensive ticket.

Northwest doesn't have the money or the need for these airplanes right now. Those 744's are doing just fine and with more of the A330's coming online, they will continue to be better positioned. Lest we forget their 787 order too. They are just now starting to get their heads out of the water and the cost of this big bird is just too much for them.

What an honor to have been inside the A380! Incredible.. As an aviation nut, I am impressed by your high quality pics of the Whalejet. Is MSN 009 due for PAX service or is it just test aircraft?

It would have been cool if theyd put in windows in the front of the 2nd deck, like on a doubledecker bus.

Aside from that, thanks for the A380 pictures. Very lovely looking plane. Is Bogota going to see regular service of A380's any time soon?

If the rumors about Iberia on the purchase of the Airbus A380 reality is made, or if Avianca in a future bought it for its most demanded routes (At the moment Avianca has purchase order for 787's and A330's, and in a future probably 772), the A380 could have a regular service in the route Bogota-Madrid or Bogota-JFK (They routes have a high occupation and demand).

The first service for Bogota in A380 can be Bogota (El Dorado Intl)-Madrid (Barajas Intl). This if the rumors of Iberia are made reality for the purchase of the A380.

Other routes that the A380 would possibly carry out in latinoamerica would be Buenos Aires-Madrid and Mexico City-Madrid, they are routes that have a high demand and it's very probable that can be operated by the A380 if if some airline of these countries bought in a future the A380 that is very probable (besides the rumor of Iberia, there is another of Aerolineas Argentinas for this airplane).
