the new stands wont have the same design as the old ones, so it will look like they cut some stands from another stadium and paste it on Teddy, plus they will keep the same crappy "wooden" roof....if they DO build it like in this render it will be such a shame....

The new stand wont have the same design in order to increase his capacity as much as possible. The separation between the upper and lower level will canceled. In addition, the chairs will arranged more crowded.
The new stand is not perfect, but not so bad. It's nice, Nothing more. When I heard this stand will not have the same design ,I was afraid from much worse things. Likewise, the pitch will raised up by 1.8 meters, and as a result of this, the seven lower rows will canceled. It seems to me too much. Last edited by omrivol; May 16th, 2011 at 07:27 AM. |

![]() Well, you can dream about this one futuristic version of Teddy stadium (remind me project of New White Hart Lane stadium),but something tells me this render of renovation always will be only render. ![]() I'm realist so I like this one - nothing special, but has great chance to be build. |

I'm sure that most of Beitar fans doesn't want Teddy to be upgraded more than 30,000 seats. Beitar has many fans in Israel (more than any other team), but not enough for 40,000-55,000 stadium.

In a really good season, and only at important matches, the attendance is about 18,000-19,000.
30,000 seats is nice, beyond that it's not necessary at all. |

I had a feeling that someone will say that.
Maybe Macabi Tel-Aviv can bring more fans per game, but Beitar has more fans at the periphery. Most of Beitar fans comes out of Jerusalem. Beitar can bring more fans to the away games more than any other team. |

Work started in "Teddy", raising the field 1.8 meters.
Construction of the south stand will start soon. ![]()

well the new design looks nice, but if they where gonna make it smaller 20k would be the perfect number not 16k that is too small....btw the new basketball arena for beer7 again its too small, they are gonna make it for 3k instead they should have done it for 5k, looks great in the inside...not so much in the outside...

Why are they raising the playing area of Teddy Stadium?

this is the first stage in Teddy upgrade. they are raising the playing area in order to improve the viewing angle.
the second stage is expanding the stadium to 30,000 seats by building the southern stand. |

And what will the seats be like after the expansion? One specific colour or multiple colours?
