Cable car ride through the largest architectural heritage of the AMAZON|Historic Center of BELÉM

Hello, everybody!
I took a day to take a ride on a streetcar, a great tourist attraction for Belém. In this tour, you can see a part of our rich historical heritage, especially those inherited from Portugal. Belém was one of the cities with more tiles Portuguese in Brazil, but unfortunately much has been lost.
And then the cycle of rubber, Belém was the city that benefited most, even the state of Pará not being the leader in production. The stock exchange was located here in our capital, and Belém was one of the most prosperous cities in the world.

Many houses are not in a good conservation , but many were restored

Sorry for my "perfect" english

This look like a beautiful city! Especially picture 69 looks fantastic. But you're right, some buildings need to be renovated. I hope the city will find funds for it one day.

Thank you for the comment. Well, here in Brazil we have a lot of cities with European Architecture. Maybe the best to visit are Salvador, Belém, Recife, São Luís and Rio de Janeiro, all capital cities. But we have Ouro Preto, a small city with colonial architecture

Thank your for your comment. Well, I study architecture and one of my teacher told me that the government will restore a larg area of the historic center of Belém. My city is competing to receive the 2014 world Cup. I'm almost sure it is gonna receive, because it has the best infrastructure of the Amazon. And if Belém is chosen, the restoration is gonna happen faster, to improve the tourism for Wolrd Cup

Interestingly similar and reminds me of Manila although the Tranvia in Manila is no longer in service. Thanks for sharing.
