Thanks for being so technical and naming the previous names of the stadium like I didn't know

I also never said it had an incline.

You're welcome. Enjoy your next visits to Ford Stadium, Comerica Field and the Joe Louis Center!

Yankee Stadium did as well prior to the renovation:

I wasn't a fan of former Yankees public address announcer Bob Shepherd, but I agree with his motto of being clear, concise and correct.

It's actually Fenway Park and Crosley Field. Got to get the names right.

Almost every old ballpark had flagpoles and other things in play deep in the outfield. Hell, Forbes Field even had the damn BP cage in play!

The guy asked about Tal's Hill, not the flagpole.

It's Bob Sheppard.

Oh the delicious irony.

What could you possibly have against a 90+ year old PA announcer?

I spelled his name wrong. I'll own up to it. Thanks for the correction.

I have nothing against him, but I'd take Tom Hutyler (Mariners) or Roy Steele (Athletics) over Sheppard just in terms of vocal quality. I won't go as far as Omar Vizquel when he mentioned that listening to "the old man at Yankee Stadium" made him sad, but Sheppard, legend that he was, sounded elderly. IMO.

I don't think there's ever been a better fit at PA announcer. Bob Shepard's voice was like a ghost in the cavernous Old Yankee Stadium. Very eerie sounding.

I agree - there has never been a P.A. announcer like Bob Shepard anywhere in sports - he was perfect, and a very classy individual.

They're necessary in certain locations.

Right now the Dodgers have over $200 million in salary commitments, while the Astros have $800,000. Amazing.

new road uniforms

The Astros' new road uniforms remind me of the Detroit Tigers'. Blue and orange.

Looks more Major League Soccer than Major League Baseball. Does look good but done on the cheap.
