What floor is this on? I saw the numbers on the core, but since they skipped several floors in their counting, I don't think that is the most reliable source.

Subtract about 7 from each number on the core.

I believe the top of the core is now at 41.. I am going to confirm tomorrow. Each morning I can see the welders on several upper levels of steel at once, doing their thing. You can see the welding flickering from pretty far away.

When I drove by it this morning, half of the core was higher than the other half. By the time I drove by later in the evening, a jump was made on the other half of the core. I saw the bottom floor underneath the form work, as 38. It is kind of tough to get a good look while passing by on the freeway though so I want to stop in that area on my way home and get some pics. Any ideas I should look into? Vantage points? Even a spot to park my car long enough to walk up and get pics.

With this core jump they are up to floor 41 or about 460' The Target parking garage is the closest parking area.

Cool, so I updated my diagram. The building currently has 41 official floors (including fake floors) and is 140 meters or 460 feet tall

Ugh, that is hideous. I hope there is a protective cover over it.

I like it! I'm a fan of the jade color.

I like this building as is but think it's kind of lame for a new "tallest". On the bright side it does add a spire to the LA skyline and it'll have public space up top. The city definitely needs a real tallest though.
