But to start with, are the pics I'm pulling off my phone taken mostly from the 110...

These were taken across the period of about 5 days on my way to work and passing by on the way home. Very noticeable with all the welders, that can be seen from quite a distance in the mornings! I am not the best with taking pics unfortunately

I am going through my my photos of my little trip to WG, and starting to upload them to tinypic now. Hopefully I can get this next post up later tonight or tomorrow afternoon!

EDIT - not working as planned... any recommendations for free pic hosting?
Use imgur.com I use it for all my diagrams and it works perfectly - it is by far the best free pic hosting site I have ever used

And there's a surprisingly small amount of threads for Miami, considering how much development is going to take place there

A little history about the site. This picture is from the mid-60's. In the background you can see how the original Bunker Hill has been excavated and reduced.

In the foreground, our actual site, the Wilshire Grand.

It was first called the Statler-Hilton Hotel. Then Los Angeles Hilton in 1970, later as the Omni, then finally the Wilshire Grand Hotel.

Metamorphosis of a block.

For those of you who are not familiar with my situation, I drive by the WG usually twice a day and get phone pics as I pass by. To make matters worse, I am a ******* retard when it comes to taking good pictures for some odd reason. So I apologize for the shit quality of these. On the side pics in particular, are when I pass by the WG in the eve after work. Its a trick shot because you have about 2 seconds to have your phone already trained at the right angle and zoomed in at the proper amount, and then an overpass cuts over quickly, so you have very little time which is probably obvious since the upper core was cut out on some of those shots. The 110 (South especially) is also not a very friendly freeway, and its very easy to get into an accident if take your eyes off the road for even 1 second. So many cars are trying to weave around to get to their exits, so its a tough spot to say the least. Also, I switched photo storage providers (per Kanto's advice) and there might possibly be some duplicates that I could have posted a few pages ago, so I apologize in advance for that as well. Anyway, I thought this would be a good start, I have many more to post, and from much closer up as well!

Here are the others from my phone, to bring my pics listed here up to date.

Other than having to go into Photoshop, does anybody know of any good freeware photo editing software that I can use to quickly resize all of these pics I have been uploading? Sorry for the quality, and for them not being sized very well.

You can see the core jumps in these pics, one half at a time. Usually the west side would rise first, but by the evening on my way home, the east side would be evened out.

I believe the floor count is at 43, and 44 is beginning. If you zoom into one of my pics showing the core when I was driving by, you could see the bottom of the form work above 39, and we have had a good deal of time pass since then. This is growing like a weed, and its no joke. When I walked up close to it the other day, they are already working with the first 5-7 floors, doing walls, HVAC, wiring, pipes, etc...

For resizing, I'd suggest Pixlr or Fotor for a free software. But it seems like everyone is happy with the photo sizes as they are now. Thanks for sharing your awesome pics!
