They will use the core crane to finish the steel work on that side of the tower, as the core will soon top out, and the gradual tapering of the tower requires less reach for the boom.

what is interesting to me is that, this tower was designed by the grandson of the man who designed the city hall, and his father designed many of the towers that make up the skyline today, including two that are directly across the street from this one, the PNC tower, and the Home Savings tower, or that is what it was called when it was built, the 26 story tower over the Metro enterance,

Took these pics while hiking the West Griffith Observatory Trail today. The Wilshire Grand is definitely making it's visual impact.

Incredible to see that Metropolis is already making an impact on the skyline. Just wait for the 40 and 54 story towers to poke out. That view of Downtown will be extended on the right thanks to Fig Central and Jardin.
