LA Downtown skyline is not so dense, but absolutely impressive. Great town! (been there 7 times )

Its dense. its just the view from the west () you cant see the old financial district and older parts of Downtown behind it. But no, Its not NYC dense if that's what you're referring to.

It's really time for this new tall skyscraper. LA has stood still for decades now, the skyline is really small with American standards, although it looks great anyway.

Small by US standards but still pretty big by world standards. Despite the *relative* lack of height and size I think this building and the other new projects will make LA's skyline look pretty awesome and futuristic.

You have to understand that LA developed various Downtowns within the city. Remember that LA is HUGE, 500 square miles.

Downtown LA
Century City
Wilshire District
The Valley

All that withing the city, if you put them together it would be amazing.

Moving those buildings together might be utopic, but how about connecting those clusters by subway? I know, one day, one day they say this will be reality.

It's planned. The purple line is going to connect Century City to Downtown pretty soon. Along with the Wilshire Corridor in the westside.

Is this a joke? La Cienaga station is planned for 2024. Century City is two stations further, so something like 2030-2050

If LA manages to get the Olympics for 2024 all three phases of the purple line would start at the same time and be ready for the Olympics.
