Man, the skyline is literally composed of 10 skyscrapers !!! and at that, some sit on top of other

That's because the view is paralel along the city grid
rows of building one behind the others, many of them obscured by the ones in front

LA getting a manhattanization would do wonders for them. Alot of their problems are caused by urban spawl. ei worst traffic, crime (harder for law enforcement to cover a wide spread out area than a smaller dense one), and utilities optimization. LA had a wide basin to spread for the past century, now I think it is reaching a point where density will be required.

We might not see the 1500ft+ towers because of the earthquare zone, but a slew of 200m+ towers could catalyze the city.

Been so focused on the star of this thread that I haven't even noticed the amount of cranes in LA's downtown. Nice little (unfortunately..xD) additions!

Oh yeah downtown from Wilshire Grand (the supertall) to Pico (staples center) is just a forest of cranes now. And true, we're only getting one supertalll (for now ) but the projects currently under construction will add a tremendous amount of density and vibrancy to downtown.
