Sure, but I'd love it if the office market shifted permanently back to Downtown so many more skyscrapers could go up!

Now if only smog were to be completely eliminated from the face of the earth.. In all seriousness though I would agree. Although I love the symmetry of LA's skyline it seems to always boil down to either the size of downtown or the relative lack of density (of 200m+ towers, I realize the bank district is DENSE). With the addition of this iconic tower though it's hard to place LA outside the top 5 regardless.

Yeah yeah other skylines are denser. I still love LA's skyline. Not very expansive yet tall and looks awesome at night.

I agree, but at the same time I feel weird about losing that symmetry of Downtown with the tallest point being right in the center.

And though I like Century City, I curse it sometimes because all those buildings should be in Downtown.

Keep in mind that the second tower is cancelled.
So how tall is this tower really going to be? For me (based on this model) it looks almost 400 meters tall!

I predict around, 345 meters to the Mohawk addition, and to the spire i believe 381 meters.

i actually think that the US Bank is too much to the right viewing it from the northwest.

It's the translation in feet from 300m. As we learn more about the final dimensions, that nominal value will obviously be ammended.

3RD best skyline ? That is definitely up for debate.

Don't take it offensively, it's just an opinion. I see the same idea with some changes, but not enough for me to say it's original. And to be honest, i can even use the same judgement for the second building using the design from 3wtc from behind.

well i'm comparing renders and even though the real project might look different, you have to be fair, which means comparing render to render.
