New renders are better by far than the old ones.

Well its been a few months since the last update - construction of the basement levels is powering along and we are almost back at street level. Here is a construction photo hot off the press from Taz:

Soleil has advanced quite a bit since the last update - it is now out of the ground, and the tower is about to start rising out of the podium. Here is the latest photo taken by Marty (note that the concrete core at the left belongs to a separate development - Macrossan Apartments)

Also, renders on the developers website have indicated a change in design for Soleil - here is a comparison:

Just curious, Soleil is launched for almost 1 year plus, how come the take up rate is still average? I heard that it was taken off the market for some council review. Is that true?

Lastly, Meriton is also building the Infinty around the same area, will it affect rental and the apartment prices?

Soliel is really nice, and very tall. How do they fit 74 floors in 243 m. I just ask because its seems like the building is actually taller, or are those condos by the water a lot shorter? Either way, good for Brissy, beautiful city. Looks very similar to one bloor east in Toronto...

Well the tallest building in Brisbane at the moment is the 207m Aurora Tower (just a bit down the road from Soleil) with a RL height of 217m. Soleil is RL250 and is amongst a cluster of RL120-130m buildings, I assume that's why it looks extremely tall.

Been awhile since last update, so here is a recent photo of Soleil taken by Fyturis (but cropped and resized for ease of viewing). For original, and more photos, check out the local thread

Agreed. The facade looks great already, nice and clean design and all the angles make this an eyecatcher. Had no idea that Brisbane had such a neat skyline!
