One unfortunate thing to add, this winter there is a prediction of El Niño weather, and that means by the time they fully eliminate all fire-related dangers, there is possibility rains will start, and then they have to go into full mudslide prevention mode.

Best of luck to your family bro, I have several friends up there as well that are wondering if their home is still standing. No word yet....

That's what we've been talking about up here in the Crescenta Valley / La Canada area, that even once the fires are out, chances are the rain will be even more devastating than the fires themselves.

El Nino is on it's way. We just went through La Nina.....

El Nino really messes with the Pacific Coast's climate... While El Nino typically gives the central US more of a mild winter..... La Nina usually brings very cold conditions to us in the Midwest. And that's what we had two years in a row here... Unfortunately, we just had the coolest summer on record in Chicago

Don't know why....

Average high was:

June:77F
July:78F
Aug:80F

Btw,

I hope those fire are put out soon!
