Old Photos of Kuwait

I think it would be interesting to show vintage photos, videos, historical buildings, urban landscapes and people of one of the oldest cities in the Gulf.

Here are some that I found ( it's a bit epic :P ):

lovely photos... its weird kuwait at least looked good back then and now we see 5 floor box houses stuck to each other with different disgusting colours with no architectural quality or identity!

Kuwait circa 1920. Note the large presence of cars in pre-oil boom kuwait.

Btw, in the first post, that's Murad and Mohammed-Redha Behbehani posing with their Porsche in 1950, the first in the Gulf.

Here are some pics and footage of the most psychotic and sexual Arab films ever made. It was filmed in Kuwait in the 1970's with a Kuwaiti/Egyptian cast.
It was called The Kuwait Connection (the name was later changed to al Thi2ab la Ta2kul al Lla7am..."Wolves Do Not Eat Meat")

I love how she's wearing her bukhnag LOL

You can watch the whole movie here:

Thanks Thamerium! The movie is meaningless, but it's a nutty cult classic in my opinion and I think it's pretty funny. To each their own I guess.

Anyway, below is the first magazine, called al Kadhima, to be published in Kuwait. It was published by my great-grandfather and the first issue came out in 1948:
