After all the Major screw ups and aweful delay of the project, we finally see the towers rising ! (How I wish this was closer to the ORR instead of being tucked away into middle of nowhere, that way an epic cluster of towers would have dominated the skyline.)

Tower No.14 has Topped Out at 30 floors (120 m - 395 ft) ! Frankly Never thought I could see this in a lifetime.

And Tower No.6 is at Level 16 at the moment, also Tower 07, 11 & 12 have finally come out of Ground level and the super structures are rising. Substructures for the rest of the towers are in progress.

Updates for August & September from the developers website;

Thanks for the video bro, great to see progress slowly outweighing the negativity which surrounded this project till now. The video presents insights into the progress and also shows how massive the whole construction site and towers actually are, also great views from atop. Despite the negative thoughts in the minds of people about this project, I am sure this will turn out to be a landmark for the city.

Hi Mr.Satyanarayana,

I'm glad the project picked up pace too! Full credit to the person who took the video, Shabab, seems like he pays regular visit to the site.

The world over, height of a building refers to distance measured from the Ground level (Earth Level) till the topmost point of the architectural design. Anything underground doesn't come into consideration no matter whatever be the height/size/form of basements or underground structures.

Similarly no of floors is also measured from Ground level to the highest floor available and is often referred to as 'Floors above Ground'

As per above diagram of Aliens SS1

No. of floors = Ground Floor lobby/podium/level + 30 storeys = 31 floors

Actual Height of structure = 395 ft - (17 ft X 3) - 5.4 ft = 338.6 ft ~ 339 ft = 103m

It is a common practice in India that Developers often make false or enhanced claims to hog the limelight about their project, since there aren't too many tall structures & also since everybody is not so technically aware. It is better to check & crosscheck with several sources before arriving at the correct figure. Here, ASS1 should be complimented for publishing this diagram which clearly shows the breakup of height which will be underground. Thus actual height of the building is easily calculated. I'm surprised nobody here noticed that or maybe just not aware of this basic principle.

I've seen similar mistakes in Kochi threads as well, where height & floor counts are misinformed. Contrarily Mumbai, Kolkata, Delhi & Bangalore threads have very accurate infos in this respect.

The thread name should be
GACHIBOWLI | Alien Space Station I | 103m X 14 | 31 fl X 14 | U/C

Thanx

Kailash, you're welcome buddy. We, at SSC strive to give as accurate info as possible and that's what makes this forum the best, I guess.

This will help in case of all present & future projects in Hyderabad to arrive at precise floor & height infos. Just remember the two principles-

1. No. of floors = Ground floor + No of stories.

2. Height = Ground level (also known as '0' level) to topmost point in architectural design. No added external metal masts, antennas or other structures should be taken into account.

Any infos related to underground structures like basements, car parks etc are merely for technical & engineering purposes & not meant for us. We should be concerned with that portion which is visible in the naked eye (obviously the portion above ground), because that's how we find out whether a building is taller or shorter, right?

Similarly, THE GOLF EDGE PROJECT is also 31 floors & not 30. Actually, it caught my eye when I was trying to list this project in this thread
