Many cities have great parks... such as New York's Central Park. Detroit also has a Fredrick Law
Olmsted designed park called Belle Isle, the nations largest city island park.

But in an eastern suburb of Detroit, on the Canadian "water" border with Canada, there is a small park
in the suburb of 60,000 known as St. Clair Shores, which has a 9 km waterfront on a lake connecting
Lake Huron and Lake Erie... called Lake St. Clair, which is only 30km x 30km in size. And among the 4
parks my city has along the waterfront (besides enough canals and marinas to house the worlds
largest collection of pleasure crafts (70,000)), there is a very small park only about 50 ft. wide and
200 ft. deep called Champine Park. Although you can only walk there (no parking) or take your bicycle
there, there isn't much to look at in the park itself....

But the view from the railings and 3 park benches is very calming... as you look out onto some of the
islands of the largest freshwater delta in the world (St. Clair River delta)...

... or just take in a morning view of the sparkling water...

... or on a rare day where there is atmospheric refraction, we can see beyond the horizon, to the
Canadian shore beyond that is not always visible to us... such as this wind turbine farm on the
Canadian shore... far past the horizon... (taken with a telephoto lens)

Since most folks have never heard of this lake... here's a satellite image showing the fist of lower
Ontario smashing into Detroit just south of this "6th Great Lake" where the lake turns into a river (only
one of 2 places where Canada is south of the USA). The images were taken from the eastern side of
the lake.

Also, in this satellite image at the bottom, that spike of land pointing into Lake Erie, is called Pointe
Pelee National Park, the southernmost point in Canada.

Zrinjevac Park in Zagreb (Croatia)

Zrinjevac and Nikola Subic Zrinski Square, Zagreb's square and park avenue with plane trees, is part of the so-called. Green or Lenuci Horseshoe, which consists of seven Zagreb downtown squares. It covers an area of 12 540 m2.

With the northern tier states meteorological placed 1884th as a gift to the military physician, Dr. Adolf Holzer.

The southern part of the bust Zrinjevac setteled important Croatian personalities: Julius Klović Andrew Medulića, Krsto Frankopan Nicholas Jurisic Kukuljevića Sakcinskog John and John Marjoram.

In the middle of the park, there is a music pavilion, set the 1891st year.
