Funny thing is that they changed all the Regional Jet flights to Terminal 4 now. The terminal just completed the update and there is no longer a need to take the bus to Terminal 2.

You know you're running out of ammunition when you resort to referring to 9/11

Will Etihad do a bacon sandwich for that price? I didn't think so.

tullamarine I don't think Etihad (or Emirates for that matter) will do a bacon sandwich at any price!!! Qantas customers on Sydney/Melbourne-London lost bacon from the breakfast menu following the Emirates alliance.

BaconButty I finally understand the true horrors of globalization.

Its funny that he called the world's most profitable airline inefficient, when his own airline has only ever made huge losses, and receives tens of billions of dollars in subsidies.

Delta's 9/11 apology rejected by Emirates
20 February 2015
Excerpt

NEW YORK (CNNMoney) -- An apology from Delta's CEO's for making comments that seemed to link the 9/11 attacks to Gulf-based airlines has left another Middle Eastern airline executive unsatisfied.

"Emirates rejects the apology issued by Delta Air Lines in response to comments made by its CEO ... which intimated a link between the Gulf carriers and the 9/11 attacks," a spokesman for the airline said Thursday.

"We believe that the statements made this week by Mr. Anderson were deliberately crafted and delivered for specific effect. This brings into question his credibility as a CEO of a US public listed company, as well as the integrity of the submission which his airline has submitted to the US authorities," it said.

A day earlier, Qatar Airways CEO Akbar Al Baker told CNN's Richard Quest something similar: "Mr. Anderson crossed the line in some of the statements he made with regard to what went on with regard to 9/11."

The original comment from Delta Air Lines CEO Richard Anderson came on CNN's "Quest Means Business" amid a spat between U.S.-based carriers and Etihad, Qatar and Emirates airlines, the state-owned airlines known as the "Gulf Three," over government financial assistance.

Yup. I saw that terminal as I was taking the pictures. I just have the feeling it was the airlines' fault. Than again, once you get burnt once, it is hard to give them the chance once again. I could understand an hour delay, but six hours is a long stretch.

To tell you the truth, the airfare was an average, I just wanted to try American airline. I could have flown cheaper with one stop connection via EU.

All A345 will leave the fleet soon with A343 and A332 to replace them. EK needs A343 for other routes (ALG, KBK) and maybe DKR is not doing well (Ebola could be a reason) so no upgrade to B777. DKR was never daily - quite unusual for EK and indicates less demand.

Maybe we will see a re-launch Dakar-conakry anytime soon with daily B777 once Ebola is no more there.

EK will launch Denpasar (daily 2-class B77W) from 3rd June.
