Yeah that is also very true, especially for EY which has numerous stakes and many codeshare agreements.

Nothings 100 percent sure cause EK could change they're mind in a second, but this has been rumored for over a year now.

They need an increase in seats to India before they can expand more in the States.

Exactly! India need to wake up and smell the coffee & lift the A380 restrictions!

EK to Budapest, Oslo and Brussels by August 1, 2014: pure gossip, day-dreaming - or do you have any reliable source for this info?

It's not gossip, EK have directly requested slots in all three airports to start Aug 1st which is right after runway repair at DXB.

Emirate's could be taking over the main entrance site to Glasgow International Airport with a giant model of an Airbus A380 as pictured below.

This, with the rumored construction of an Emirates lounge currently underway at the airport, it can only be a matter of time till Emirates bring the A380 to Glasgow.

Qatar, Indonesia Sign Air Transport MoU

YOGYAKARTA, Nov 28 (Bernama) -- Qatar and Indonesia have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to increase the number of flights operated by Qatar Airways to five Indonesian cities, Qatar News Agency (QNA) reported.

The MoU was signed by Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) chairman Abdulaziz Mohammed Al-Nuaimi and air transportation director at Indonesia's Ministry of Transportation, Djoko Murjatmodjo.

Qatar Airways will increase its weekly passenger flights to 45 and cargo flights to 10 to the cities of Jakarta, Denpasar, Medan, Batam and Manado in Indonesia.

The MoU also consolidates CAA's strategy to upgrade bilateral air transport agreements in line with Qatar Airways' global expansion plans.

Does it mean that Qatar Airways will start services to the cities other than Jakarta and Denpasar in the future?

I'm looking forward for the one to Surabaya

I don't really like the One World livery on a QR aircraft. But I'm pretty sure I will be flying in this aircraft pretty soon.
Also why would they use that aircraft to YUL? Wouldn't it be better to use it to a One World hub like LHR, JFK, or ORD?

I guess this is QR's way of rubbing it in AC's face plus a percentage of the fleet will have the OW scheme applied.

Is there any news of an A330 or A320 having the OW scheme applied to it. How many total planes will QR have in the OW scheme?

I guess its just their new wide body aircraft that are arriving. So the OW livery could be put on their next B77Ws, B787s, or even their A350s. I would like to see an A320 with the OW scheme though.

Etihad named world’s leading airline at WTA

Quote:

Etihad Airways, the national airline of the UAE, was named the world’s leading airline at this year’s World Travel Awards (WTA) for the fifth year in a row last night (November 30) in Doha.

The Abu Dhabi-based airline also won the awards for World’s Leading First Class, and World’s Leading Airline Cabin Crew.

Established in 1993, the World Travel Awards recognise the very best travel organisations in the world through a global vote by travel professionals from 171 countries. The Wall Street Journal calls them the ‘Oscars of the Travel Industry’.
