I'm not 100% across which aircraft will have the Oneworld scheme, however I can say each member is required to paint a percentage of their fleet.

Heres a list of Star Alliance partners and aircraft with the Star* scheme.

Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport concession to Etihad for 20 years has been announced. The condition is for Etihad to build a new passenger terminal, runway, airport hotel and car park (practically everything).

According to Amadeus Qatar will add 3 more weekly to Kigali (Rwanda), from 01 April 2014. There will be 10 flights a week. Timetables on Amadeus can't be read after 25 October 2014, so i don'tk know if it will be a increase during high season.

Anyone knows if Etihad or Emirates will open more Africans routes in 2014 ?

Thanks

According to this article (sorry for french language) Emirates asked for slots at Zaventem Airport and received them. The plan is to start daily BRU-DXB service from mid-august 2014. However, there still some legal matters to solve but It won't be a big problem so finally:
Welcome to Emirates in Brussels

We knew about EK requesting slots at Brussels last week a long with Oslo, and Budapest.

Miami and Chicago are on the verge of being launched.

Mexico City via Madrid also in 2014.

Also expect Santiago, Lima, and Bogota soon.

Helsinki and Edinburgh should be next in Europe.

Looks like China and UAE just made a closer trade/energy pact so we might see more expansion in China for EK.

EK moving forward with talks in India also so potential expansion there as well.

Airbus says Kuwait Airways in tentative deal to buy 25 jets

Quote:
(Reuters) - Airbus confirmed on Monday that Kuwait Airways had signed a provisional agreement to buy 25 new aircraft in the biggest overhaul of its fleet since the 1990 Iraqi invasion.

The Kuwaiti flag carrier plans to buy 10 A350-900 and 15 medium-haul A320neo jets, Airbus said in a statement.

The deal, worth $4.4 billion at list prices, follows a year of negotiations since the Gulf Arab state won a $500 million settlement from Iraqi Airways to end a two-decade dispute over damage caused when Iraqi forces seized aircraft and parts.

Etihad will launch flights to Dallas Fort Worth next year, just two weeks after Qatar announced its plans to head to the Texas city.

Dallas Fort Worth will be Etihad’s fifth destination in the USA and the route will be served three times a week from Abu Dhabi, starting on December 3, 2014.

DFW is a major hub for Etihad’s codeshare partner American Airlines.

James Hogan, Etihad Airways’ president and CEO said: “The United States is one of Etihad Airways’ most important global markets and we are delighted to add Dallas, a key US destination and hub, to our flight network, bringing the number of American cities we will serve to five by the end of 2014.”

Etihad said it anticipated demand being driven by the oil and gas sector in particular.

The airline already has Chicago, New York, Washington D.C., and Los Angeles on its route network.

First direct Abu Dhabi-Perth link revealed

The service, Etihad’s fourth in Australia, will start on July 15.

The airline will operate an A330-200 aircraft on the route in a two-class configuration.

Etihad Airways’ President and Chief Executive James Hogan said: “Our analysis shows there is a significant business opportunity on the Perth route. Overseas visitor numbers are growing at a steady rate of around seven percent overall – with several markets to which we fly – such as Germany, France, Italy and Ireland – recording an increase in visitor numbers of between 8.5% t and approximately 30% in the 2012/13 financial year. Arrivals from the Middle East grew at more than 104% over the same period.”

Hogan said outbound growth from Western Australia, which continues to ride a resources wave, was strong. He said outbound travel from Perth was growing at around 8.5% over the past three years.

While Qantas is particularly unhappy about Virgin Australia’s ownership structure, which sees Etihad holding a stake in the carrier, Hogan said Etihad’s local partner would be vital to the success of the route.

“Our partnership with Virgin Australia and codeshare flights to 14 towns and cities in its Western Australia regional network adds immensely to the strength of the business case for the route and the appeal of our consumer offering,” added Hogan.

“We will also be well positioned to contribute to the economic development of regional centres through increased state-wide tourism flows and look forward to working with tourism authorities to achieve this outcome,” he added.

I guess this is QR's way of rubbing it in AC's face plus a percentage of the fleet will have the OW scheme applied.

That is part of the requirement when joining an alliance is to paint a percentage of your planes in the alliance logo. Take a look at some of the airlines that have multiple planes that have their respective alliance logos. Qatar Airways has only a few types of planes so they have to paint multiple of the same planes in the One World Alliance livery.

Etihad Airways will launch daily flights to Rome, Italy, and Jaipur, India, as well as four flights a week to Yerevan, Armenia, in 2014

The services to Jaipur will commence on April 1, while Rome will be served from July 15. The Yerevan route will start of July 2.

The new routes will join previously announced daily services to Los Angeles; three flights a week to Dallas; and daily services to Zurich, Switzerland; Perth, Australia; and Medina, Saudi Arabia.

The eight routes bring Etihad Airways’ worldwide network to 102 destinations next year.

President and CEO, James Hogan, commented: “This is part of a measured and strategic growth plan, which will reinforce the future of the national carrier of the UAE and the vital role it plays in the emergence of Abu Dhabi as a global aviation hub.

“Together with our codeshare and equity alliance partners, we have created a virtual network of more than 375 destinations.”

The 2014 network plan also makes provision for increases in frequency and connectivity on existing routes, with more than 20% growth expected in weekly departures.

To support the expansion, the carrier will receive 20 aircraft deliveries next year, including the much-awaited arrivals of its first 787-9 Dreamliners and Airbus A380s.

It will also receive five Boeing 777-200LRs, one 777-300ER, three Airbus A320s, three A321s, four A330-200s and one A330 freighter.

Eight new destinations for Etihad in 2014 plus expanded service in India. Its going to be a great year for Etihad next year.

Air Canada = Star Alliance
Qatar = Oneworld

Other words Qatar is rubbing the Oneworld logo B777 in AC's territory.

Anyways moving right along.
