I hope everything works out the best, but it just sounds too good to be true that they would offer their oil that easly. The West almost destroyed thier airlines, and put their economy in bad shape.

It's logical - sell oil and get economy working. They are more than interested in.

Regarding their airlines, after lifting(theoretically) sanctions you can imagine how many orders for new aircraft they will place.

The purple and grey QR livery clashes with the blue and red Barcelona colors.

Anybody knows if Etihad might be planning to increase capacity from Geneva by using a larger plane? Currently serving it with an A330-200. The plane is always desperatly full, even for weird random dates! Maybe one of the Boeing 777 freed from other routes when they begin introducing the A380?

I'm sure they will upgrade it to a B777 once their A380's and B787's start arriving. The A380's will probably be deployed to routes which are currently operated by B777s. They may also upgrade it to a A350. Although why would you want a B777? EY has ten-abreast seating in Y on the B777. The premium classes have a fantastic product though.

I've read on A.net that QR will accept delivery of their 1st A380. The aircraft will ferry to the NEW DOH Airport to test airport facilities & ground crew equipment.

I'm not 100% as to the reliability of the source but fantastic news if it turns out to be true.

Qatar Airways will launch non-stop A330 flights to Bali in July.

The airline claims that new additions to its fleet mean that it's now able to offer passengers a non-stop service from Doha to the popular tourist destination.

Passengers travelling from Doha to Bali currently have to travel via Singapore.

It is hoped that the new, more convenient service will appeal to passengers travelling through Qatar’s network across Europe, the Middle East and Asia.

Initially due to be operated by an A330, a B787 Dreamliner will take over sometime in October.

Over the next three months, the airline’s network is set to expand further with the addition of Larnaca, Cyprus (April 29), Al Hofuf, Saudi Arabia (May 15), Istanbul, Turkey (June 18), Edinburgh, Scotland (May 28), Miami, USA (June 10), Haneda, Japan (June 18) and Dallas/Forth Worth, USA (July 1).

Qatar has also announced that its A321 and A320s on its Doha-Moscow route would be replaced with a B787 and an A320. The change will coincide with an extra two weekly flights being added, bringing the total to 14 from September.

Qatar Airways have announced that the first two destinations served by the A380 will be London-Heathrow and Paris-CDG. Other destinations like SIN, JFK, or LAX have been thrown around but no formal announcements by Qatar.
