How many of Etihad planes have been painted in to the new livery? Or is the first A380 and 787 only ones painted so far?

Probably only the B787s and A380s have been painted with the revised livery... I will let you know when other EY aircraft are repainted too.

I actually see the 2 airlines heading in the direction EK413 mentioned.... Emirates is ramping operations on major destinations using A380 and wants Dubai to be the world's busiest airport...Etihad makes mini-luxury condominiums for 2 on the top deck of the A380 instead of adding seats and flying additional passengers!!

But, hey, I'm very glad that EY now serves Northern California via SF.

The 2 MEB3 airline companies Emirates and Qatar arrive here in Houston in the evening, around the same time people are getting back home from work and leave 2-3 hours later.....The timing is perfect from a work perspective because you can work the day you fly and not lose vacation time!! But the traffic!! OMG!! 1 hour from Downtown to the airport and then imagine the situation if you have to take Super Shuttle!!

For EY, let's not forget consistency.

Will Etihad do a bacon sandwich for that price? I didn't think so.

tullamarine I don't think Etihad (or Emirates for that matter) will do a bacon sandwich at any price!!! Qantas customers on Sydney/Melbourne-London lost bacon from the breakfast menu following the Emirates alliance.

BaconButty I finally understand the true horrors of globalization.

Etihad airways first class apartment design wins top SBID award

Quote:

The game-changing design of Etihad Airways ' new Airbus A380 First Class product, called First Apartments, has been recognised at the annual Society of British and International Design (SBID) Awards 2014, held at the Dorchester Hotel in London last week.

London based Acumen Design Associates, which forms part of the airline-led ' Etihad Design Consortium' (EDC), a collection of leading brand and design agencies tasked with creating the airline's new interiors, picked up the SBID's top award for designing the industry-leading new cabin.

The patent-pending design for Etihad Airways ' new A380 First Class cabins was entered under the category of Best Entertainment Space but took home the most coveted award of the evening, Overall Design Award 2014.

The event is considered to be one of the most prestigious on the international design calendar and recognises design excellence across a broad range of 15 different categories. The SBID Awards are voted for by leading industry experts and business leaders and are judged for both technical content and aesthetic creativity using two tiers of judging.

Looks like Emirates has started making speculations on the "real" fate of MH370... from The West Australian:

Emirates boss fears MH370 cover-up

Now that it has been over 8 months since the disappearance of the ill-fated flight (B777-200ER, 9M-MRO), the chief of the world's biggest international airline has grave concerns that the search for the missing airliner will be given up as lost as part of an international cover-up.

Quote:
The Boeing 777 disappeared off WA on March 8 with 239 aboard.

Sir Tim Clark, president of Emirates, said yesterday that he had been inundated with requests from grieving relatives and theorists to continue the pursuit of the truth.

"Many mathematicians have done extensive calculations and have detailed them in their emails to me," Sir Tim said.

"None believe the current hypothesis. We must get to the truth."

He gave this theory before too. There's really no proof for what he's saying.
