At international level, who cares what is tallest between Pelli and Regione Piemonte? Please stop with this spam. 200m are nothing compared with skyscrapers in New York or in Dubai or in the rest of the world. This is ridicolous! Regione Piemonte Tower is a nice project of Fuksas tall enough for its function. Please, stop to annoying all the community!

I can't believe we are talking about this. The spire is part of the building, it's not a matter of opinion. Furthermore, if we really want to consider the last floor only, this skyscraper would be 181m tall and would be beaten by Dritto in Milan (202m) which might even be completed first. So this should kill the useless discussion.

No. There is Intesa San Paolo Tower of Renzo Piano near Corso Vittorio. 167m http://g.co/maps/pejdp

Here, we are talking about the tower of Regione Piemonte of Maximiliano Fuksas in Via Nizza near the Lingotto complex http://g.co/maps/9ha7h

Caro, i am neutral, i actually like Turin more than Milan. But sincerely, do we really need to show once again to the world this stupid italian cliche of claiming that our own town is the best?
thanks!

I hate this useless dispute! We will be able to debate about this when all the buildings will be terminated, I think!

for many of years Milan and Turin in a "war" for everything becouse its the two most economic and financial citys in italy . For me both citys have a good projects for a future but in my opinion Turin have much more beauty architecture and all city is much more beauty for me , Turin is beauty like Florence and have very interesting project for XXI century . Maybe 200 m it isn too much for NY city or Dubai but for a euro city it is good hight :] for Turin 209 m , for Madrid - 250 ...

Hehe, yes the race will start soon! In this month will begin the preparation of the area that will host the skyscraper.

About the cost, the Piemonte Region will find the money to build the skyscraper thanks to the project financing, through the sale of existing offices. As of today, the Piemonte Region has 15 departments, each with its head offices, all in Turin. In order to concentrate all the activities in one headquarter, the Regional Executive Committee has planned the realization of the tower designed by Massimiliano Fuksas. The area will also include residential buildings, shopping centres and underground parking lots. Some money will also be recovered selling these.
The project will renew the former Fiat Avio area, close to Lingotto. The area’s ground level will be destined to public park, for pedestrians only.
The regional investment for the tower alone adds up to 200 million euros.

I hope the answer was clear!
Very interesting, 200millions euros is so much compared with the 20millions used to build the Region Rhone Alpes HQ (135millions without the sale of existing offices). But these are different systems, our Region has less power and responsabilities than your. (but we are 6 million inhabitants ...)

Anyway thank you for the updates, Turin and Milan are very interresting.
