It a posibility but I don't see it. Barcelona hasn't a lot of long-haul flights and is easier for a busines traveler to share two flights of the same company via London (BA), Amsterdam (KLM) or Paris (AF) (even Lisbon for Latam).

If it was a good route for long haul travelers it would exist any daily flight of any alliance.

For tourist is different. A lot of them fly currently from Girona.

Iberia abandoned the Barcelona airport but still the airport grew a lot. The "hinterland" of Barcelona becomes really big. With Valencia, Aragon, the Balearics and Southern France (e.g. Midi Pyrenees) now also near through the AVE/TGV. All regions with a relatively high GDP per capita.

We shall see. A major company like Singapore Airlines for example flies from South America (Sao Paolo) via Barcelona to Singapore. When my brother took it last week the plane was packed. Qatar airways also seem interested in expanding in Barcelona. In contrast to other airports Barcelona airport has a lot of spare capacity. The potential for freight traffic is very large as well.

What about Reus airport? It's a good airport for tourists as the Costa Dorada is nearby.

It has a lot of operations in summer but still Barcelona has more for tourist.

I have relatives who rent houses besides the beach. Reus Airport is very near and a lot of people ask how to get there from Barcelona airport.

Very cool, indeed. Thanks for sharing it... I've re-shared it (and added a link to your post).

I think he means you would expect it at Gare de Lyon or another station in the south of the city.

I expected to have seen it at Gare de Lyon as far as current services arrive there. As well as it is under test, I assumed it was being tested in the line it could make the service.

But it seems it goes around all the network. Doesn't it?

This AVE quite probably came to the Gare de l┤Est from Pantin depot (next station from Paris-Est on the classic line to Strasbourg), where it must have had the maintenance (it was a bit scruffy lately during the tests in France).

It's making homologation test in east France so is normal to be found there. Currently is based on Belfort.

No one noticed that currently it hasn't the testing stickers that it had?

it's easier to reach Paris-Est coming from Strasbourg/Germany, than from the south of France

but, maybe they took some maintenance lines to reach Paris-Est

No, it┤s just as easy, though uncommon.
