Earlier[in 1999) they said that land(nearby sakthi hospital) is for commercial complex by sakthi hospital. And around in 2006 they said the land is for ESI hospital for tirunelveli region.

But till now i didn't get any exact point for that land.

Chennai: The board of Empee Sugars and Chemicals on Tuesday cleared plans to raise Rs 350 crore via a GDR issue. The company has call shareholders meeting to seek their approval.

“We have not decided yet on the time of the issue. It could be early next year,” the company’s chairman and managing director (CMD) MP Purushottaman told FE.

The money will be used to part-finance its upcoming distillery unit in Tamil Nadu and retire high-cost debt.

The company is setting up a 5,000 TCD integrated sugar complex, a 50 mw co-generation power plant and a 100 kilo litre per day (KLD) distillery unit at Ambasamudram in Tirunelveli district of Tamil Nadu at a cost of Rs 550-650 crore.

“We have commenced the commercial production of sugar and cogen power recently and are in the process of setting up of a 100 KLD distillery unit in the complex,” Purushottaman said. On commencement of sugar production at the new facility, the total capacity would touch 10,000 TCD and the cogeneration capacity would be around 80 MW.

“We are supplying ethanol to oil marketing and pharmafirms and will increase the supply once the new unit goes on stream. We are in talks with the oil marketing as well as pharma cos for increasing uptake,” the CMD said.

17-ந்தேதியில் இருந்து டிசம்பர் 15-ந்தேதி வரை வாரத்தில் புதன்கிழமை மட்டும் சிறப்பு ரெயில் (எண்.06013) விடப்படுகிறது. சென்ட்ரலில் இருந்து இரவு 9.50 மணிக்கு புறப்பட்டு மறுநாள் பகல் 12.15 மணிக்கு திருநெல்வேலி சென்றடைகிறது.

திருநெல்வேலியில் வரும் 18-ந்தேதியில் இருந்து டிசம்பர் 16-ந்தேதி வரை வாரத்தில் வியாழக்கிழமை மட்டும் சிறப்பு ரெயில் (எண்.06014) இயக்கப்படுகிறது.

Hey Thillai this is not the first fully A/c train to be operated,already last month Oct13 (Central-tvl) and Oct 14 (TVL- Central) was operated under Garib Rath Express scheme i.e for III rd A/C fare is just 497 .But it was operated in the usual route only.

As some of the serious bidders for getting the road laying contract worth Rs. 25 crore are being threatened and chased away from the corporation premises by a group with the support of a couple of elected representatives, Tirunelveli Corporation is all set to be embroiled in a controversy.

After the urban civic body recently received Rs. 25 crore for laying the damaged roads within the corporation limits, four contractors alone were allowed to submit the tenders while all others, were literally chased away from the Corporation premises by the group.

When this problem was brought to the notice of Commissioner N. Subbaiyan, he took immediate measures to clear the corporation premises with police assistance and informed the higher officials in Chennai about this development.

“Following the extensive discussion, the Commissioner had with the senior officials, the last date for submission of tenders was extended up to November 4 to enable all aspiring contractors to submit their estimate proposals,” said a contractor.

When a contractor's assistant entered the corporation premises on Monday to submit the tenders for the road laying contract , he was threatened by the group wandering there even as the police had also been deployed there.

Dr. Subbaiyan instructed the police to ensure the safety of everyone entering the corporation premises. The police forced the group to leave the premises.

Entrances sealed
Subsequently, one of the six entrances of the corporation was sealed on Tuesday while policemen were deployed in the remaining five entry points.

“The entire corporation premises have been converted into a fortress. Anybody entering the corporation campus with the tender papers will be given police protection till he submits it and leaves the premises,” said a police officer here.

Meanwhile, some of the contractors, who were chased away, had approached the court for its intervention and the case had been posted for November 8.

The Communist Party of India, on its part, had put up a flex board at Tirunelveli Junction, detailing the entire ‘road contract' episode.

“The State Government should intervene immediately. Otherwise, it will become a major law and order problem here,” said a contractor.

200% true. Only for TASMAC contract they fighted like this, now even for developmental contracts
