Velayutham one small clarification, i don't see any 48 Rs bus from nellai to madurai, i used to travel once in two weeks to MDU. Moreover last time when i traveled by bye pass rider it started from 12:40 from mattuthavani and reached 3:10 at nellai. So it took only 2 hours 30 mins to reach nellai.

I don't think so, even directly + indirectly it can't even fetch that number. It's a numbers game to seek attention.

The extension of Ambai road and the construction of bridge works are going in Melapalayam.
So the traffic is diverted in this route.
New bus stand to Vannarpet/Ambasamudram:-
via Reddiyarpatti Junction, Anna university, Tuckerammalpuram checkpost, Santhai Road, Melapalayam junction.

Actually it is some what prevaricated, all bye pass riders operated by TNSTC nellai are brand new TN-72 mofussil buses, the SLF deployed for intercity are not the JNNURMS, the bus shown in the pic belongs to MDU region. Nellai has SLFs transferred from MDU but those are not JNNURMs.1 SLF for NELLAI-TRICHY (similar to bye pass rider), NELLAI-TENKASI (do know the exact nos but should be greater than 10 for each listed), Nellai- kovilpati, Papnasm-trenkasi, nagercoil-tiruchendur, nellai-puliankudi.

This is hum buck- Even the city JNURM -low floor-Semi Deluxe buses are offering much comfort than this buses. When the state Express Corporation ply with 2+2 seats these buses are cramped lot. Though the State of Tamil Nadu can boast of having a very good transport net work, the buses are very crowded. The travel is slower and no comfort is offered to the route buses. When they are charging more and they pay less RTO charges , they deny the cost which is saved to the comfort of the public. This is followed by private operators also.

When it is bye-pass rider, why 3 hours, as it s avoiding intermediate towns/ cities, the time should be below that given the road condition now. Willl they look into the comfort angle first.

Already the cost of travel has been increased to the benefit of the transport crew. Let it flow to the Citizen who are real spender and users/consumers.

- Nellai superfast exp has to be maintained in Tirunelveli instead of in Madurai.
- There are three pit lines in Junction Railway station.
- But only one in use
- Nellai to Jammutawi, KK Passenger, Tiruchendur, Nellai to Hapa, Nellai to Bilaspur trains are only maintained in the pit lines.
- So TEN Railway station all coaches are infested with bugs, cockroaches, mice, rats and other creatures
