Oh come on, who is going to believe this. Putting Lima on par with HK and way above Beijing and Bangkok is so utterly ridiculously implausible, it doesn't even deserve the time and energy to write this comment. These rankings are trash.

The Ambassador one gets very old already
It's still extremely BIG for eyes to see, and i love it
just the interior quality currently doesn't do its justice

and what's up with those hotels in Las Vegas ??

With the internet ranking, our country should be higher in this coming years.

True is now going to launch their 12Mbps soon.
Maxnet is now having 10Mbps.

Cost-wise, Bangkok ranks lowly

Writer: KARNJANA KARNJANATAWE
Published: 16/07/2009 at 12:00 AM
Newspaper section: Horizons

Bangkok ranked 98th overall, and fourth in Southeast Asia, in a recent survey by Mercer which used cost of living to rate most expensive cities around the globe.

The survey covering d 143 cities across six continents measured the comparative cost of over 200 items in each destination such as housing, transport, food, clothing, household goods and entertainment.

Finishing among the top-10 most expensive cities were Tokyo, Osaka, Moscow, Geneva, Hong Kong, Zurich, Copenhagen, New York, Beijing and Singapore - in that order, while the bottom 10, ranked 133th to 143th, comprised Bangalore, Tunis of Tunisia, Chennai, Ouito (Ecuador), Mexico City, Auckland, Wellington, Karachi, Asuncion (Paraguay), Monterrey (Mexico) and Johannesburg.

"As a direct impact of the economic downturn over the last year we have observed significant fluctuations in most of the world's currencies, which have had a profound impact on this year's ranking," said Mercer senior researcher Nathalie Constantin-Met'ral. "Many currencies, including the euro and British pound, have weakened considerably against a strong US dollar causing a number of European cities to plummet in the rankings."

Bangkok moved from 105th place in the 2008 survey to 98th this year.

In the Southeast Asian region, Singapore was the most expensive, followed by Hanoi (ranked 58th overall), Ho Chi Minh City (69th), Kuala Lumpur (96th), Bangkok (98th), Jakarta (106th), Bandar Seri Begawan (124th) and Manila (126th).

Quite strange that Bali and Ubud are both in the list.
Ubud is in Bali. If to list Ubud then Bali should be Denpasar.
